Whitmer’s Sham Council

In January, Gretchen Whitmer’s Michigan Democrat Party proudly proclaimed that they don’t believe parents should have a role in their child’s education.

Whitmer meanwhile wants you to think her and her party aren’t aligned, creating a “parent’s council” to provide input on Michigan’s education system, but the council is a sham.

Whitmer’s council is comprised of Democrat activists, former staffers, and campaign donors who all align directly with the left’s incredibly unpopular views that have sunk gubernatorial campaigns like Terry McAuliffe last fall.

“Once again Gretchen Whitmer is putting her cronies first, setting up a sham council to hide her party’s long held view that parents shouldn’t have a role in their child’s education,” said RGA Spokesman Chris Gustafson. “Whitmer and Michigan Democrats believe that union bosses should be in control, a policy that has led to a decline in reading, writing, and math scores under her administration. Tudor Dixon will ensure parents have a say and fix Michigan’s broken education system.”
