The Isabella County Sheriff’s Office said that due to Joe Biden’s and Gretchen Whitmer’s record gas prices, the department has exhausted its fuel funds and will cut back on routine patrols and deputy responses.

Whitmer’s support for the spending spree that has caused inflation and gas prices to skyrocket in Michigan is making the state less safe and putting families in danger.

“The failures of the Biden-Whitmer agenda are attacking Michiganders from all angles as the cost of living soars and public safety takes a hit,” said RGA Spokesman Chris Gustafson. “From skyrocketing costs, crumbling roads, and violent crime on the rise, Gretchen Whitmer has failed to address the multiple crises that face the state and Michigan families are paying for it.”

A sheriff’s department in Michigan cited soaring gas prices in an announcement Tuesday that it would be reducing its deputies’ responses to non-urgent calls for service.

Isabella County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post that it “is feeling the pain at the pump as well.”

“We have exhausted what funds were budgeted for fuel with several months to go before the budget reset,” Sheriff Michael Main said in a statement.

“I have instructed the deputies to attempt to manage whatever calls are acceptable over the phone,” he said. “This would be non-in-progress calls, non-life-threatening calls, calls that do not require evidence collection or documentation.”
