It’s been one week since the House Conduct Committee met to deliberate the workplace harassment complaint against then-speaker of the Oregon House Tina Kotek, hearing from all involved parties except for Kotek.

While Oregonians await the official response from the committee, here is a look at a few key quotes from last week’s hearing:

“The House under Speaker Kotek’s leadership was broken.”

“I’m still recovering from PTSD and other traumas from my legislative experience with Tina.”

“I think out of all the messed up things the speaker said and did, the one that crossed the line is when she threatened to ruin my political career.”

“Unfortunately for the victims of Tina Kotek’s alarming and inappropriate conduct, these unsettling realities are added to the ever-growing list of complaints against the longtime Democrat lawmaker,” said RGA Spokeswoman Kaitlin Price. “On November 8th, Oregonians are going to hold Kotek accountable once and for all and reject her promotion to the Governor’s Mansion.”
