Democrat Governor Laura Kelly and Lt. Governor David Toland want voters to know they think 2020 was a “blockbuster year” for Kansas businesses.
What they didn’t say is that the “blockbuster” was actually a horror movie for the 32% of businesses and 47% or restaurants and hotels that closed permanently due to Kelly’s lockdown policies. And the nightmare is still going for many Kansans as the state continues to rank in the bottom half for percentage of jobs recovered.
“Kansas deserves a governor that knows how ridiculous it is to call 2020 a ‘blockbuster’ year for business when so many workers and small business owners are still struggling to recover,” said RGA spokesperson Joanna Rodriguez. “Democrat Laura Kelly is just as out-of-touch as Joe Biden and her Washington, D.C. bosses who say rising prices are a ‘high-class problem.'”
