Virginia Obamacare Premiums Skyrocket While Northam And Perriello Double Down On Failing Law

As Virginia’s Democrat candidates for governor, Ralph Northam and Tom Perrielo, continue to double down on their support for Obamacare, Commonwealth families received bad news this weekend about their healthcare premiums under the failing law. A new report reveals that premiums will likely shoot up by over 30 percent on average.

The Washington Examiner reports:

“Insurance companies that are planning to sell Obamacare plans in two state exchanges next year are requesting double-digit rate increases for premiums, results that are likely to become fodder for the healthcare law’s defenders and its detractors…

…In Virginia, insurers have requested rate increases of 30.6 percent on average, according to an early analysis by Charles Gaba, an independent analyst and writer of ACASignups.net.”

This news comes less than a week after Aetna announced it would no longer sell health insurance under Obamacare in Virginia. But despite the slew of disturbing reports of Obamacare’s implosion, Perriello and Northam continue to support the law. Perriello brags often on the stump about voting for the law, even after he was kicked out of Congress by his constituents for doing so, while Northam has openly attacked Virginians who oppose the law, accusing them of not recognizing Barack Obama’s presidency.

If Tom Perriello and Ralph Northam continue to insist on digging their heads in the sand while Virginia families feel the growing burden of the failing Obamacare law, it is clear that neither of them has any business leading the Commonwealth as governor.
