Just days after making her candidacy for Connecticut governor official, Susan Bysiewicz is quickly embracing Failed Governor Dan Malloy’s latest tax and fee hikes on working families. In an interview over the weekend with WFSB-TV, Bysiewicz gave her support to electronic tolling in Connecticut. Bysiewicz’s comments come just days after Malloy’s toll proposal was narrowly passed by one vote in a General Assembly committee.
This makes Bysiewicz the latest candidate to give their support to Malloy’s new fee hike on Connecticut families after Ned Lamont gave the proposal his endorsement several weeks ago. As Connecticut Democrat gubernatorial candidates eagerly throw their support behind the same job-killing tax-and-spend policies that have driven Connecticut into decline for years under Dan Malloy, they continue to show why they are unfit to lead.
SUSAN BYSIEWICZ:“So I do very much favor electronic tolling so long as we make the out-of-state people pay more.”
REPORTER: “So just border tolls?”
SUSAN BYSIEWICZ:“No – that we make out-of-state people and motorists pay more…”
