VIDEO: Democrat Krishanti Vignarajah Misleads Voters On Eligibility Status In Maryland

It’s still not clear whether Krishanti Vignarajah is eligible to run for Maryland governor, but that isn’t stopping the Democratic candidate from misleading voters and claiming that she is anyways.

Vignarajah has come under fire in recent weeks after it was revealed that she has been a registered Washington, D.C. voter, despite also being registered in Maryland, and has cast her votes in D.C. elections from 2010 to 2014 – making her potentially ineligible to run for Maryland Governor.

Weeks ago, Vignarajah’s campaign supposedly sought a court ruling to determine whether she is eligible to run for governor. There has been no word yet from the judge.

But Vignarajah is going around the state telling voters there’s no problem with her candidacy. In a recent interview, Vignarajah was asked about her eligibility status.

I absolutely meet the eligibility requirements of being a resident and registered voter for five years,” said Vignarajah.

Watch here.

It’s deeply misleading for Vignarajah to claim she is “absolutely” eligible when there has yet to be a court ruling that even she appears to agree is necessary.

If Vignarajah is willing to deceive Maryland voters so early in her campaign, she can’t be trusted to be honest as governor.
