Just days after Hillary Clinton was caught on tape attacking states that didn’t vote for her as “backwards,” South Carolina Democrat gubernatorial candidate Phil Noble decided to follow her lead. New video shows Noble attacking South Carolinians, calling the state a “bizarre place” that has “plenty of crazies.”
Just like Clinton, Noble seems to have little to no regard for the people of the state he seeks to lead. On top of this, Noble’s main Democrat primary opponent, James Smith, has made no attempt to distance himself from Clinton or Noble’s comments. After having heavily campaigned in South Carolina on Clinton’s behalf in 2016, Smith has refused to answer whether he agreed with her decision to call South Carolina “backwards.”
If this is how Noble and Smith feel about the people of their state, it’s clear that they don’t belong anywhere near the South Carolina governorship.
PHIL NOBLE: “South Carolina is one of the most special, unique, sometimes crazy and bizarre places in this country. We are – I mean – we have plenty of crazies in this state.”
