VIDEO: After Committing To Raising Taxes, Ned Lamont Runs Away From Malloy’s Toxic Image

Desperate to avoid being associated with Failed Governor Dan Malloy’s toxic image on the campaign trail, Connecticut Democrat gubernatorial candidate Ned Lamont is trying to have it both ways, attempting to distance himself from Malloy while still embracing his job-killing policies.

In an interview this weekend with WTIC-TV, when asked how he would separate himself from Malloy, Lamont tried to rewrite history, claiming that he attempted to stop Malloy from coming to office in 2010, despite the fact the he endorsed him in the general election. Lamont also called himself the candidate who represents “real change”:

But just days ago in a radio interview, Lamont firmly committed to continuing Malloy’s policies for a third term, confirming that he will raise taxes if elected:

For months, Lamont has built his campaign around supporting Malloy’s statewide highway tolling proposal while pushing phony claims to defend his tax hikes. As Lamont desperately runs away from Malloy’s toxic image, his eagerness to continue his failed governor’s agenda shows he’s nothing more than another Malloy Enabler who would lead Connecticut further into decline.
