New rankings by Amazon show that Mississippi’s small and medium-sized businesses are growing faster than those of any other state in the nation, based on year-over-year sales growth of businesses selling in Amazon’s stores across all 50 states. In its analysis, Amazon noted the impact of rural small businesses using online tools to expand and prosper. Governor Bryant understands this, and has signed legislation to expand high-speed broadband internet to rural areas to increase access for these businesses and their workers to the online resources they need to succeed.
