Under Failed Democrat Leadership, Connecticut Ranks As One of the Worst States For Business

While Connecticut’s poor fiscal shape has been routine under Democrat Governor Dan Malloy and his fellow Democrat allies, the state has received yet another dubious distinction as one of the worst states for business in America. Wallethub’s annual rankings released last week showcased how far Connecticut has fallen, placing the state in the bottom 10. In May, Malloy’s Connecticut received another poor rating from Chief Executive Magazine, which placed the state at 46th for business.

Connecticut’s low ranking is no surprise given that the state has been plagued by massive tax hikes, high profile business decampments by Aetna and General Electric, a multibillion dollar budget crisis with no end in sight, unprecedented economic migration away from the state, and the highest unemployment in the region after almost eight years of Democrat leadership.

As Connecticut continues to fall further behind the rest of the region, voters know who is responsible for their state’s rapid decline and will hold Democrats accountable at the ballot box in 2018.
