In case you missed it… the Republican candidate for Oregon governor Christine Drazan announced she would call a state of emergency on homelessness if elected.
To no surprise, career politicians Betsy Johnson and Tina Kotek were quicker to respond to Drazan’s proposal than they were to the majority of Oregonians who have begged these leaders for solutions for years. These candidates can try to point to their attempts to address the crisis but there is no denying the prevalence has only increased under their leadership.
“Tina Kotek and Betsy Johnson are all talk when it comes to doing something about the biggest problems plaguing the state,” said RGA Spokeswoman Kaitlin Price. “Oregonians learned long ago that Tina and Betsy can’t be trusted to deliver real outcomes on their policies that have only exacerbated homelessness and drug abuse, and increased the frequency of violent crimes.”
