Tim Cahill’s No Good, Very Bad Day

Tim Cahill today offered his latest example of indecisive leadership from a campaign in disarray.  For weeks, long-time Democrat Tim Cahill planned on voting in today’s Democratic Primary.  He even went to his polling place today to vote, only to decide at the last minute that he actually was not going to vote.  Appearing on the Charlie Manning Show, Cahill said that not voting today was one of the hardest decisions he ever had to make.  Then later in the day, Cahill decided he in fact would vote.

“Cahill couldn’t decide if he should vote or not,” said RGA spokesman Chris Schrimpf.  “How’s he ever going to make the kind of decisions necessary to balance Deval Patrick’s budget?”

Cahill claimed he heard rumors that his candidacy would be challenged if he voted in the Democratic Primary.  However, the Secretary of State said, “If he has made a decision not to participate, it’s a political one, not a legal one.”

After the Secretary of State gave the okay for him to vote, Cahill still maintained that he was waiting for another okay to vote.  Then the Secretary of State gave him written permission.

“We figured that Cahill was only taking orders from Deval Patrick,” said Schrimpf.  “But, I guess he responds to written orders from any state Democratic official.”
