Despite saying on the campaign trail that he’s against RGGI, Josh Shapiro’s office signed off on the job-killing plan that would decimate Pennsylvania’s energy industry which employs nearly 500,000 and contributes almost $80 billion to the commonwealth’s economy.
At a time when Pennsylvania families struggle to deal with Joe Biden’s skyrocketing heating and gas prices, Shapiro’s flip-flop will only make things worse.
“Josh Shapiro has only been on the campaign trail for two months, yet he’s already flip-flopped on one of the biggest issues facing Pennsylvania families,” said RGA Spokesperson Chris Gustafson. “Pennsylvania’s already stagnant recovery and families across the commonwealth cannot afford the skyrocketing costs of Joe Biden’s and Josh Shapiro’s war on Pennsylvania’s energy industry.”
