In the Pennsylvania governor’s race, GOP nominee Scott Wagner is the clear choice for small businesses. Touting his background as a self-made businessman and entrepreneur, as well as his strong pro-small business voting record in the state senate, the National Federation of Independent Businesses has endorsed Scott Wagner to be the next governor of Pennsylvania.
“Scott Wagner has built successful businesses from scratch, and he knows the obstacles other small-business owners face in Pennsylvania,” said Legislative Director of NFIB in Pennsylvania, Rebecca Oyler. “As a former Senator, he had an excellent voting record on key small-business issues. Wagner has been a strong advocate of fiscal responsibility and transparency in government, as well as pension and regulatory reform. As a business owner himself, he knows wasteful state spending results in higher taxes, and unnecessary regulations hamper small-business growth.”
“I am honored to have the endorsement of NFIB and their small-business members because I have experienced what they face when government gets in the way as you try to start and grow a business,” said Scott Wagner. “Harrisburg doesn’t understand that by removing the hurdles of overregulation and high taxes, the state will get more revenue and the Pennsylvania economy will surge. I have taken risks, started businesses and signed paychecks, so I know what stifles growth.”
