Does Richard Cordray Agree With Dennis Kucinich On Ending Oil and Gas Drilling In Ohio?

.As Washington D.C. Bureaucrat Richard Cordray fails to catch fire in Ohio with a new poll showing him locked in a tight race for the Democrat gubernatorial nomination against former Congressman Dennis Kucinich, Democrats appear to be headed for a divisive primary fight that threatens to erode their chances of success in November. With Kucinich putting forward unabashedly liberal proposals that reflect his time in congress as a proponent of far-left causes, Cordray faces a growing challenge to compete for the radical voters who will decide the nomination.

Yesterday, Kucinich put out a series of proposals designed to “bring a complete end to oil and gas drilling in Ohio” in a clear attempt to attract left-wing primary voters. Cordray however, has yet to take a position on this important issue, leaving Ohioans wondering what he really believes about Ohio energy production.

As he struggles to stand out to voters, already drawing comparisons to Hillary Clinton’s failed candidacy, Cordray can’t hide from issues that affect thousands of working Ohioans. Does he share Kucinich’s commitment to ending all oil and gas drilling in the state, or does he believe it should continue? He owes voters an answer.

Cleveland Plain Dealer reports:

“Democratic gubernatorial candidate Dennis Kucinich on Thursday unveiled a series of proposals designed to bring a complete end to oil and gas drilling in Ohio.

At a news conference in downtown Columbus, the liberal former congressman and presidential candidate said that as governor, he would use eminent domain to acquire and close all existing traditional and fracking-style oil and gas wells in the state. Kucinich pledged to block any new drilling permits and order a statewide injection-well ban…”
