Republican Governors Association Chairman Governor Rick Perry issued the below statement following Attorney General Rob McKenna’s announcement that he has entered the Washington governor’s race:
“Attorney General McKenna’s entry into the governor’s race gives Republicans a top-flight candidate with proven appeal in a state that is a prime pickup opportunity. Rob’s focus on improving education and creating new jobs is exactly what’s needed in Washington’s next governor. The Republican Governors Association welcomes Rob McKenna to the governor’s race.”
