WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released the following statement regarding Vermont Democrats selecting Christine Hallquist as their nominee for governor:
“By choosing Christine Hallquist, Vermont Democrats have selected a candidate committed to increasing the tax burden on working families,” said RGA Spokesman John Burke. “Hallquist supports nearly $100 million in new tax hikes, including tens of millions of dollars in property tax hikes that would take the state backwards. Vermont must keep moving forward and that is why voters will reject Christine Hallquist this November.”

Kansas needs a Governor who can keep us moving forward. That person is Ethan Corson. He is a true public servant, a middle-of-the-road leader, and a good man who wants this job for all the right reasons. I am proud to endorse @ethancorson for Governor of Kansas. https://t.co/Csf2Bjf6tx
