RGA Statement on Paul LePage’s ME Primary Victory

“Paul LePage is a proven leader who will fight every day for hard working families by lowering taxes, ensuring kids are learning the core basics like math, reading, and science in schools and working to find ways to make Maine more affordable for everyone.” said RGA Co-Chairs Governors Doug Ducey and Pete Ricketts. “Janet Mills’ only concern as governor is appeasing the far-left activists and Joe Biden. Instead of working to ease the burdens of inflation and protecting heritage industries in Maine, Governor Mills signed into law a grocery tax, proposed a gas tax hike, and allowed an extreme environmental agenda to decimate local fishing communities. The RGA congratulates Paul for officially becoming the GOP nominee, and we remain confident Mainers will return him to the Blaine House.”
