WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released the following statement regarding Virginia Democrats selecting Ralph Northam as the Democrat nominee for governor:
“In choosing Ralph Northam, Virginia Democrats have anointed an extreme, far-left nominee that is hopelessly out-of-touch with Virginia voters,” said RGA Communications Director Jon Thompson. “If elected, Northam would raise taxes, increase wasteful spending, hurt job and business growth, favor union bosses over workers, and make Virginia less affordable. Instead of fighting for Virginians, Northam would only continue the ineffective, stalemate policies of the past four years under Failed Governor Terry McAuliffe. Ralph Northam’s extreme agenda would take the Commonwealth backwards at a time when it desperately needs a new direction.”
