RGA Statement on Vermont Democrats Nominating Political Insider Sue Minter For Governor

WASHINGTON D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released the following statement regarding Vermont Democrats nominating political insider Sue Minter for governor:

“In nominating Sue Minter for governor, Vermont Democrats have chosen a Shumlin political insider who would uphold the status quo and deny Vermont the fresh start it needs,” said RGA Communications Director Jon Thompson. “Minter supports raising burdensome taxes on Vermont’s middle class and has made it clear she will fight to grow the size and scale of government. Voters are craving a new direction in Montpelier, but under Sue Minter, they would only see more failed policies of the past.”
