WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association issued the following statement on the Mississippi gubernatorial primary:
“Mississippi is better off today because of Governor Phil Bryant’s unwavering commitment to a stronger, more competitive, and more vibrant state,” said RGA Chairman Bill Haslam. “Governor Bryant has used his first term in office to restore efficiency and accountability in state government, to revive the state’s economy by putting in place policies that foster job creation and lower unemployment, and to develop a talented, educated workforce to step into those jobs. Because of his record of success on these fronts and many others, Governor Bryant is very deserving of a second term in the governor’s office. The Republican Governors Association is proud to support Governor Bryant for re-election and will ensure he is able to continue driving Mississippi’s success.”
