Republican Tom Corbett to Face Democrat Dan Onorato

Pennsylvania voters tonight selected Attorney General Tom Corbett as the Republican nominee for governor and Dan Onorato as the Democratic nominee.  Tim Murtaugh, spokesman for the Republican Governors Association, today issued the following statement.

“The choice for Pennsylvanians could not be more clear this November.  Tom Corbett brings an impressive record as an aggressive, effective attorney general, and a clear vision for the future of the Commonwealth.  Dan Onorato, on the other hand, sees increased taxes as the answer to all government ills.

“Tom Corbett understands that reviving the Pennsylvania economy means fostering an environment that encourages job creation through lower taxes, less burdensome regulation, and innovation.  Dan Onorato will continue the failed policies of the past and place greater burdens on struggling businesses and families.

“Faced with this choice this fall, we feel confident that Pennsylvania voters will elect Tom Corbett their next governor.”
