RGA Statement on Jay Inslee’s Entry into Washington Governor’s Race

Republican Governors Association Executive Director Phil Cox issued the following statement in response to Representative Jay Inslee’s announcement that he is running for governor:

“Attorney General Rob McKenna’s proven executive experience is a perfect contrast to Congressman Jay Inslee’s disappointing and ineffective record as a legislator. As Attorney General, Rob McKenna has been fighting for consumers and holding government and business accountable. As a congressman, Jay Inslee has done exactly the opposite, supporting one wasteful government program after another and accomplishing little in his eight terms beyond cashing his paycheck. Rob McKenna is the only choice for voters who want to strengthen Washington’s economy, create jobs and improve education.”
