WASHINGTON, D.C. – Republican Governors Association Chairman Bobby Jindal released the following statement on today’s announcement from Texas Governor Rick Perry:
“Governor Perry has served Texas with great honor and distinction. Rick has put Texas on the path to prosperity with countless accomplishments in strengthening the state’s economy, infrastructure and business environment. Rick can be proud of the legacy he is leaving behind. While we are sad to see Governor Perry leave office, we are confident we will keep Texas in the red column by electing another strong Republican governor in 2014. Supriya and I extend our best wishes to Rick and Anita, and the entire Perry family.”
