Republican Governors Association Executive Director Phil Cox issued the following statement regarding Cuyahoga County Democrat Executive Ed FitzGerald’s announcement that he is running for governor in Ohio:
“After failing to recruit a more experienced candidate, Democrats are now stuck with Ed FitzGerald’s brand of pay-to-play and corruption politics. It’s no surprise that many top Democrats took a pass on the governor’s race. Governor Kasich’s reforms have created a business-friendly environment that has seen the creation of over 115,000 new jobs and Ohio voters have made it clear they want to continue that success.”

Kansas needs a Governor who can keep us moving forward. That person is Ethan Corson. He is a true public servant, a middle-of-the-road leader, and a good man who wants this job for all the right reasons. I am proud to endorse @ethancorson for Governor of Kansas. https://t.co/Csf2Bjf6tx
