RGA Statement on DNC Chair’s Campaign Trip to Mississippi

The Republican Governors Association released the following statement from executive director Phil Cox about Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s visit to Mississippi:

“The contrast between Phil Bryant and Johnny DuPree couldn’t be clearer than it is today.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s top priority is helping elect individuals who support the Democrats’ national agenda. The last thing Mississippians want is a governor who embraces the national Democrats’ failed policies of runaway government spending, jobs-killing tax increases, gun control and Obamacare.

Phil Bryant is the only candidate for governor who supports conservative policies and principles that Mississippi voters want. Phil Bryant has been on the frontlines working with Governor Haley Barbour for smaller, more effective government and traditional values, and he has the right proposals to bring more jobs and industry to Mississippi.”
