RGA Statement on Arizona Governor Jan Brewer’s Announcement

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Republican Governors Association Chairman Chris Christie issued the following statement in regard to today’s announcement from Arizona Governor Jan Brewer:

“Governor Brewer has served Arizona well with an unrelenting focus on providing more opportunity and prosperity for its people. Under her leadership, Arizona has risen from the depths of the recession and become strong once again. Governor Brewer’s administration rightly prioritized reining in spending, downsizing government, balancing budgets, lowering taxes and putting more people to work, and the state is better for it. Building on Governor Brewer’s success as a champion of the Arizona Comeback, we are confident Arizona will remain in the red column when its voters elect another strong Republican governor in November. The Republican Governors Association extends its best wishes to Governor Brewer and her family.”
