RGA Statement on Louisiana Gubernatorial Election

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released the following statement on the Louisiana gubernatorial election:

“Congratulations to Governor-Elect Jeff Landry on tonight’s impressive victory. Governor-Elect Landry stands for law and order, putting Louisiana families first, and building opportunity and economic prosperity,” said RGA Chair Governor Kim Reynolds. “We look forward to working with Governor-Elect Landry as Louisiana’s next governor and congratulate him for flipping Louisiana red and putting away his race early.”

RGA Right Direction PAC spent over $4 million attacking Democrat Shawn Wilson, defining him as a deeply flawed candidate and career bureaucrat who was responsible for Louisiana’s infrastructure getting worse under nearly eight years of his failed leadership at the Louisiana Department of Transportation.
