RGA Statement on CT Gubernatorial Debate

Ned Lamont and Bob Stefanowski faced off today on NBC Connecticut in the first debate of the general election. This is one of only two debates as Lamont dodged multiple debate invites, choosing to hide his record from voters.

It’s no wonder Lamont’s hiding, he doesn’t want to talk about the issues Connecticut families are facing, such as record inflation, rampant violent crime, including a nearly 90% increase in homicides, and an economy that continues to rank near the bottom in the nation.

“Today voters got to see how Ned Lamont has failed as governor on nearly every metric, overseeing spikes in violent crime, eliminating thousands of jobs, and raising taxes on nearly every individual,” said RGA Spokesman Chris Gustafson. “Meanwhile, Bob Stefanowski has laid out a plan that will provide relief to families, grow the economy, and tackle violent crime. With a track record of failure, it’s abundantly clear that Lamont is unfit for office. Thankfully, voters will have a choice to move Connecticut forward in November and elect Bob Stefanowski.”
