WASHINGTON, D.C. – RGA Right Direction PAC launched the first ad in its initial investment in the Louisiana gubernatorial election, “Unless You Drive a Car.”
The 30-second spot slams Shawn Wilson’s record as Department of Transportation Secretary, including overseeing Louisiana’s drop to nearly dead last in infrastructure rankings and an $18 billion backlog of needed repairs that has only increased under his leadership.
“Unless You Drive a Car” will air on television and digital platforms backed by a seven-figure investment.
“In the nearly eight years that Shawn Wilson was in charge of the Louisiana Department of Transportation, Louisiana’s infrastructure got worse, not better. Adding to his failure, under Wilson’s watch Louisiana has reached an $18 billion backlog in needed repairs, costing Louisiana drivers an extra $650 a year in car repairs. If that was Shawn Wilson’s record while in charge of the roads and bridges, just imagine what it would be like if he ran the state,” said Courtney Alexander, RGA National Press Secretary.
