RGA Releases New Video Welcoming Tax Hiker Andru Volinsky To New Hampshire Governor’s Race

WASHINGTON, DC – As New Hampshire Democratic Executive Councilor and trial lawyer Andru Volinsky launches an exploratory committee for a potential run for governor in 2020, the Republican Governors Association (RGA) released a new video highlighting his passion for finding new ways to tax Granite Staters.

The video features footage of Volinsky speaking to the Andover Democrats in June, where he pushes to “normalize the discussion of taxes” – namely, raising them – and addressing the Chichester and Pembroke Democrats earlier this year where he lists all of the tax increases that should be “on the table,” including a statewide property tax, an income tax, and a sales tax. If that still doesn’t take enough hard-earned dollars out of taxpayers’ pockets, Volinsky points out that government can also raise fees. The video begins and ends with the tagline that Volinsky “never met a tax he didn’t like.”

“As he explores a run for governor, liberal Andru Volinsky is leaving zero doubt in New Hampshire voters’ minds that he wants to hike any and all taxes he can get his hands on to fund his extreme big-government agenda. Whether taxpayers own it, earn it, spend it, or use it, Andru Volinsky never met a tax he didn’t like,” said RGA Communications Director Amelia Chassé Alcivar. “Governor Chris Sununu is delivering on common sense policy solutions that expand economic opportunity for all Granite Staters and preserve the values of limited government and fundamental freedoms that define the state.”
