WASHINGTON D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released a new video in Kentucky today, highlighting Democrat gubernatorial candidate Adam Edelen’s comments about socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who has made it her mission to push a job-killing agenda that would destroy Kentucky’s coal industry.
While Ocasio-Cortez has discussed visiting Kentuckly in recent weeks, Edelen and his fellow Democrat candidates for governor have refused to tell voters where they stand on her far-left policies. However, when asked if he would campaign with her at a recent appearance, Edelen did not give an answer but commented that Ocasio-Cortez “gives a heck of a speech.”

“It’s unclear which speech Adam Edelen finds so compelling: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s statement that coal miners shouldn’t make a good living, her pledge to raise taxes, her assertion that ‘capitalism is irredeemable,’ or all of the above,” said RGA Deputy Communications Director John Burke. “He’ll have to explain that one to Kentucky voters, along with answering whether he will campaign with an avowed socialist.”
