RGA Releases New Video For Kentucky Governor’s Race: “Go Public”

WASHINGTON, DC – Now that Andy Beshear has secured the Democratic nomination for governor, despite receiving less than 40 percent of the primary vote, the RGA has released a new video highlighting his refusal to tell Kentucky voters where he stands on efforts led by prominent Democrats, including Kentucky Rep. John Yarmuth, to impeach the president.

Yarmuth, the only Democrat in Kentucky’s congressional delegation, stated last week that “it’s time” to begin impeachment proceedings against the president, and as recently as this weekend expressed his belief that many Democrats support impeachment but “haven’t decided to go public yet.”

In addition to Yarmuth’s comments, the video features Democrats running the gamut from establishment insiders like Joe Biden to radical progressives like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez all advocating for impeachment as a viable action for their party to take.

“As the Democratic Party’s standard-bearer in Kentucky, Andy Beshear needs to make it clear who he stands with on impeachment: his fellow liberal politicians, or the vast majority of Kentucky voters,” said RGA Deputy Communications Director John Burke. “With Kentucky Democrat Rep. Yarmuth leading the charge on their party’s extreme and divisive agenda, the time for Beshear to go public with his position is long overdue.”
