RGA Releases New TV Ad In Kentucky Governor’s Race Highlighting Democrats’ Extreme Immigration Agenda

WASHINGTON, DC – Putting Kentucky First, an organization supported by the Republican Governors Association (RGA), today released a new television ad in the Kentucky governor’s race. Titled “Dangerous,” the ad highlights the extreme immigration agenda being pushed by national Democrats and parroted by Democratic gubernatorial nominee Andy Beshear.

Democratic Party leaders, including the overwhelming majority of the 2020 presidential candidates, are advocating for policies that even former Obama administration officials characterize as “open borders,” including decriminalizing illegal border crossings and pledging to provide government healthcare for illegal immigrants.

While Governor Matt Bevin has been a vocal opponent of these policies and recently announced new proposed legislation to prohibit sanctuary cities in Kentucky, Andy Beshear has stood with his party and refused to support the sanctuary city ban. In a recent editorial, the Bowling Green Daily News wrote that Beshear “embraces politics from an out-of-touch national party and not the majority of Kentuckians, who don’t want to see sanctuary cities in our state.”

“Andy Beshear is supposed to be Kentucky’s highest-ranking law enforcement official, but instead of doing his job he consistently puts his party ahead of his state, even if it means backing far-left policies that violate the law,” said RGA Communications Director Amelia Chassé Alcivar. “Kentuckians want and deserve a leader who shares their values and will keep their communities safe – Andy Beshear has proven again and again he’s not up to the job.”

The ad will run statewide on broadcast and cable networks.

National Democrats support open borders.

So liberal, they support taxpayer-funded health care for illegals.
