RGA Releases New TV Ad In Kentucky Governor’s Race Highlighting Andy Beshear’s Healthcare Extremism

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Putting Kentucky First, an organization supported by the Republican Governors Association (RGA), today released its latest television ad in the Kentucky governor’s race. Titled “Raise Your Hand,” the ad exposes Andy Beshear’s support for extreme healthcare policies advocated by national Democrats, including the party’s 2020 presidential candidates.

RAISE YOUR HAND

As the 2020 Democratic presidential contenders prepare to debate Tuesday evening, the spot revisits the moment at a previous debate where every single candidate on stage raised their hands in agreement that illegal immigrants should receive taxpayer-funded government healthcare. Beshear, who has refused to support a ban on sanctuary cities, has also embraced the far-left healthcare policies of his party.

Beshear is an avowed supporter of the government takeover of healthcare, even as a majority of his party’s presidential candidates back Bernie Sanders’ extreme Medicare for All proposal. Now, Beshear has promised he would “absolutely” oppose any Medicaid work requirements and support giving free, taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits to individuals who are able to work, but choose not to.

“Just like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, Andy Beshear is pushing a liberal agenda that will ultimately burden hardworking Kentucky families,” said RGA Communications Director Amelia Chassé Alcivar. “Kentucky voters want a governor who represents their values – not the extremes of the national Democratic Party.”

Democrats running for President want to give taxpayer-funded health care to illegal immigrants.

Andy Beshear is extreme on health care too.

Just like national liberals, Beshear supported a government takeover of our health care.

Andy Beshear even opposes requiring able-bodied adults to work while receiving taxpayer funded healthcare benefits.

Andy Beshear is with them, not us.
