RGA Releases New TV Ad In Kentucky Governor’s Race, “All In The Family”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Putting Kentucky First, an organization supported by the Republican Governors Association (RGA) today released a new television ad spotlighting the multi-generational culture of corruption and scandal that defines Kentucky’s Democratic Party dynasties, including the Beshear family.

ALL IN THE FAMILY

The ad, titled “All In The Family,” includes media coverage of the guilty verdict returned against Democratic Party fixer – and father of Kentucky Secretary of State Allison Lundergan Grimes – Jerry Lundergan for numerous counts of campaign finance violations and crooked dealings. The Beshear dynasty has experienced similar scandals, with Andy Beshear hiring his father, former Governor Steve Beshear’s, political ally as his top aide when he was elected Attorney General. The aide, Timothy Longmeyer, was jailed after pleading guilty to taking bribes for government favors and steering some of the tainted cash to Andy Beshear’s campaign.

“Kentuckians deserve real leadership – not scandal-ridden political dynasties more interested in protecting their own power and influence than promoting good government and pro-growth policies,” said RGA Communications Director Amelia Chassé Alcivar. “Andy Beshear would bring Frankfort back to the corrupt Democratic Party politics of the past – he can’t be trusted to move Kentucky forward.”

Script for “All In The Family”

“The father of Kentucky’s Secretary of State will face prison time.”

“A jury found Jerry Lundergan guilty on ten counts involving campaign finance crimes.”

The Beshears are part of Frankfort’s corrupt culture too.

Andy appointed one of Steve Beshear’s political allies as his top aide in the Attorney General’s office.

This Beshear crony ended up in prison for taking bribes and funneling the dirty money into Andy’s campaign.

Scandal and the Kentucky Democrats.

It’s all in the family.
