WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released a new television advertisement today in the Michigan governor’s race, which illustrates how politician Mark Schauer’s tax-and-spend ways hurt Michigan once before and would hurt the state again.

“Last time Mark Schauer served in Lansing, he applied the same solution to almost every problem: more, higher taxes,” said RGA Communications Director Gail Gitcho. “The result? Michigan suffered. Schauer’s liberal, tax-and-spend approach failed once before, and Michigan can’t afford to go back.”
