WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released a new television advertisement today in the Michigan governor’s race, which sheds light on Democrat Mark Schauer’s most common and most destructive problem-solving strategy:  tax hikes.

“After years of being stretched to the limit, Michigan has finally turned a corner under the innovative leadership of Governor Snyder,” said RGA Communications Director Gail Gitcho. “If left to a politician like Mark Schauer, the creative solutions that brought Michigan back would be replaced with dried-up, failed policy proposals of the past. No one wants to pay more in taxes. Schauer’s so-called solutions would only turn back the clock on Michigan’s progress.”
