WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released a new television advertisement today in the Maine governor’s race, which details Democrat Mike Michaud’s support for directing taxpayer dollars to illegal immigrants.

“Don’t be fooled when liberal Mike Michaud says he’d look out for Maine. He supports siphoning taxpayer dollars from hard working Mainers and using the money to pay welfare benefits to illegal immigrants,” said RGA Communications Director Gail Gitcho. “Under Governor Paul LePage, Maine respects taxpayer dollars and puts them to use for Mainers. Electing Mike Michaud would be taking a step back.”
