RGA Releases New Ad in Louisiana Governor’s Race, “With Her”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – RGA Right Direction PAC, an organization supported by the Republican Governors Association (RGA), today released its third television ad in the Louisiana runoff election. Titled “With Her,” the ad highlights John Bel Edwards’ support for Hillary Clinton and her far-left policies.

WITH HER

In deep red Louisiana, John Bel Edwards cannot run from his record as a tax-and-spend liberal whose policies have stifled job creation and economic growth. And, despite repeated attempts to duck questions, he cannot erase his well-documented support for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election and his even more recent ties to the radical anti-Trump “resistance.”

Edwards has boasted about voting for Hillary Clinton, while disparaging President Trump. He played a key role in her nomination, casting his vote for her as a superdelegate to the 2016 Democratic National Convention. Even after she insulted hundreds of thousands of Louisiana Trump supporters as “deplorables,” Edwards’ support for Clinton never wavered.

Despite Clinton’s 20-point loss in Louisiana, Edwards continued to emulate her policies as governor. Like Clinton, Edwards supports taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal immigrants and opposes the president’s full border security plan.

“Try as he might to make them forget, Louisianans remember that when Hillary Clinton called them ‘deplorables,’ John Bel Edwards was still with her,” said RGA Communications Director Amelia Chassé Alcivar. “Louisianans already rejected Hillary Clinton’s liberal agenda, and they’ll do the same on November 16th when they fire John Bel Edwards.”

Script for “With Her”:

Liberal John Bel Edwards.

John Bel Edwards: “I voted for Secretary Clinton.”

Hillary Clinton: “You can put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call a basket of deplorables.”

Like Hillary, Edwards supports radical policies.

Edwards supports illegal immigrants getting taxpayer-funded benefits and opposed President Trump’s full immigration plan to secure our borders.

John Bel Edwards, too liberal for Louisiana.

President Trump: “Vote John Bel Edwards out.”
