RGA Releases First TV Ad In New Hampshire Governor’s Race

Ad Exposes Tax Hiker Dan Feltes’ Plan To Clobber Granite State Small Businesses And Working Families

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Live Free PAC, an organization supported by the Republican Governors Association (RGA) today released its first television ad in the New Hampshire governor’s race. The ad, titled “Clobber,” exposes Democrat Dan Feltes’ plan to force an income tax on New Hampshire working families and impose a double-digit tax increase on small businesses already struggling as a result of COVID-19.

As a state senator, Feltes has tried more than once to force an income tax on Granite Staters

even at the height of the pandemic this year. As COVID-19 was forcing small businesses to close across the state, Feltes also pushed for a double-digit tax hike that would “clobber” these critical employers and harm communities all over New Hampshire. A devoted tax hiker, Feltes has been advocating for all “revenue option[s]” to be on “the table” since at least 2014.

“Tax enthusiast Dan Feltes will stop at nothing to push his big government agenda, even if it harms working families and small businesses in the middle of a global pandemic,” said RGA Communications Director Amelia Chassé Alcivar. “Granite Staters deserve a common sense, bipartisan leader like Governor Chris Sununu – not a tax-and-spend politician who wants to grow government at their expense. Bottom line – Dan Feltes is wrong on taxes and wrong for New Hampshire.”

Script for “Clobber”:
Our families and small businesses have been hit hard by the Coronavirus.
But Dan Feltes would hit them again. His plan?
Create an income tax and hit small businesses with a double-digit tax increase.
That’s right – at a time when we can least afford it, Feltes wants to raise taxes on our families and small businesses.
Dan Feltes. Higher Taxes. Wrong for New Hampshire.
