RGA Launches First TV Ad In Maryland Governor’s Race: “Big Spender”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association launched its first television advertisement in the Maryland governor’s race today, highlighting Democrat Ben Jealous’s proposal to hike taxes and his refusal to detail how much his radical spending plans will cost.

“Ben Jealous can’t explain how much his big spending schemes would cost because he doesn’t even know,” said RGA Communications Director Jon Thompson. “Jealous would raise taxes, force Maryland families to pay more, and hurt the state – just to pay for his big spending schemes. Ben Jealous is just another big spender who wants to hike taxes and take Maryland backwards.”

How much would Ben Jealous cost you? Even he doesn’t know.

Jealous can’t explain his own education plan. Listen for yourself.

“The exact cost will be tallied up by the legislative analysts when I’m governor…it’s expensive to figure all that out.”

Jealous has proposed higher income taxes. Higher taxes on things you buy online.

He’s even considering a sales tax increase.

Ben Jealous – another big spender who’ll raise your taxes to pay for it.
