RGA Launches Blue State Madness

New Website Targeting Democrat Governors and Candidates

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association announced today the launch of Blue State Madness, a new website designed to serve as a clearinghouse for news, research and insight related to Democrat governors and candidates:  their backgrounds, their destructive policies, and their massive shortcomings in leadership.

The online project will be updated frequently as relevant news and information surfaces, and considering the current state of play in blue states nationwide – failing health care exchanges, rising taxes, fleeing businesses, fewer jobs – there won’t be any shortage of content.

As the election year progresses, Blue State Madness will present voters an increasingly complete picture of the downward spiral a vote for a Democrat governor can spark in the states.

“Democrat governors are dragging their states down a long and treacherous path toward a future where government takes more than it gives, job opportunities are few and far between,  businesses struggle to escape entanglement in government regulation, and economic growth is stagnant,” said RGA Communications Director Gail Gitcho. “Luckily for blue state voters, this November is an opportunity to reverse course and choose new leadership. The Blue State Madness project will be an invaluable tool this year as we work to illustrate the deep divide between Republican governors’ records of meaningful, measurable success and Democrats’ tendency toward the opposite.”
