WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association issued the following statement congratulating Governor Gary Herbert on his re-election victory in Utah:
“With over 250,000 new jobs, unemployment at historic lows, key investments in education and sound fiscal management, Governor Gary Herbert has Utah positioned well for the future, and voters correctly rewarded him for those successes with another term,” said RGA Chair Governor Susana Martinez. “Governor Herbert’s strong leadership and commitment to conservative, pro-growth policies has made Utah one of the top states in the nation for business, and his courage to stand up to the Obama Administration’s federal overreach proves that he will continue to lead Utah forward. The Republican Governors Association is proud to congratulate Governor Gary Herbert on his re-election victory.”
The RGA spent $350,000 to support the effort to re-elect Gary Herbert as governor, contributing directly to his campaign.
