WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association issued the following statement on Governor John Kasich’s victory in Ohio:
“Governor John Kasich’s commanding victory in this election means four more years of jobs, growth and prosperity are in store for the Buckeye State,” said RGA Chairman Chris Christie. “Governor Kasich’s bold, no-nonsense approach works for Ohio, and his enthusiastic leadership will continue to deliver results in his second term. The Republican Governors Association is proud to congratulate Governor Kasich on his resounding re-election.”
The Republican Governors Association was a key investor in Governor Kasich’s re-election victory, spending $4 million on paid media over the summer. The RGA ran four television ads in Ohio detailing how Governor John Kasich’s record of results are working for Ohio, and why Democrat Ed FitzGerald’s numerous scandals demonstrated a lack of leadership.
