WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association issued the following statement on Governor Susana Martinez’s re-election victory in New Mexico:
“Governor Susana Martinez is building a solid foundation for New Mexico’s future, and the voters rewarded her in this election, knowing the results she achieved in her first term are only the beginning,” said RGA Chairman Chris Christie. “Governor Martinez has proved herself to be a strong leader and reformer who belongs in Santa Fe for four more years. The Republican Governors Association is proud to congratulate Governor Martinez on her re-election.”
The Republican Governors Association was a strong partner in Governor Martinez’s re-election victory, spending $750,000 on paid media in the spring. The RGA ran four television ads in New Mexico, including one Spanish-language ad, detailing Democrat Gary King’s record as the worst New Mexico Attorney General ever, his soft stance on crime, and his failure to stop Medicaid fraud.
