WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association issued the following statement congratulating Governor-Elect Chris Sununu on his victory in New Hampshire:
“Chris Sununu’s proven record of success as a small businessman and public servant shows that he’s prepared to tackle the tough issues facing New Hampshire, and the voters agreed he was the best candidate to lead New Hampshire forward,” said RGA Chair Governor Susana Martinez. “As governor, Chris will create a pro-growth economy by cutting taxes and slashing government red tape, reducing energy and healthcare costs, and investing in education. The Republican Governors Association is proud to congratulate Governor-Elect Chris Sununu on his victory.”
The RGA spent over $5.5 million on the effort to elect Chris Sununu as governor, including a multi-million dollar TV ad campaign statewide, over 2 million pieces of direct mail, and a targeted digital ad campaign which had over 22 million impressions. The RGA targeted Democrat Colin Van Ostern in 4 TV ads, highlighting his record as a partisan political operative who would implement Big Government policies and favor the Washington way.
