WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association issued the following statement on the outcome of today’s California gubernatorial primary election:
“It’s time for serious change in California, and Neel Kashkari is the one who can make it happen,” said RGA Chairman Chris Christie. “Kashkari has his priorities straight; he knows jobs and education are the building blocks for a strong middle class and a vibrant economy. Given the opportunity to put his conservative message to work, Kashkari’s leadership would play a pivotal role in a true California comeback. The Republican Governors Association is proud to support Neel Kashkari’s campaign for Governor of California.”
“Year after year, Jerry Brown’s policies continue to fail California,” said RGA Executive Director Phil Cox. “Businesses, jobs and job seekers are fleeing the state for greener pastures, suffocated by the state’s liberal model of high taxes and burdensome regulation, and the state is losing out on opportunities for economic growth as a result. Neel Kashkari knows the red state model works, and there is no doubt he will harness it to make California great – and competitive – once again.”
