RGA Congratulates Michigan Governor Rick Snyder on His Re-Election

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association issued the following statement on Governor Rick Snyder’s re-election victory in Michigan:

“He pioneered a long-awaited turnaround in Michigan, and now, Governor Rick Snyder is off and running for another much-deserved four year term,” said RGA Chairman Chris Christie. “He picked up the pieces after some of the state’s most difficult years, and Michigan is a different state today thanks to his smart, results-driven leadership. With Governor Snyder in the statehouse, Michigan will continue to move forward, and the Republican Governors Association is proud to congratulate him on his re-election.”

The Republican Governors Association was a key investor in Governor Snyder’s re-election victory, spending $14.1 million on paid media. The RGA ran 11 television ads in Michigan detailing Democrat Mark Schauer’s record of wrong, expensive choices that fueled Michigan’s lost decade.
